The Coys ‘True Greats’ auction was held December 4th, 2012 at the Royal Horticultural Society Lindley Hall in Westminster, London, resulting in total sales of nearly £4 million.

Top result at the final Coys sale in 2012 went to a newly restored and matching numbers 1938 BMW 328 that achieved a selling price of £494,600, followed by the 1961 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster that brought £433,000 and the 1967 Lamborghini Miura, converted by the factory in period to SV specs, that made £421,800.

Other notable sales at the 2012 Coys True Greats London auction included the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage at £382,600, the bespoke Aristotle Onassis / Stamatis Kokotas 1969 Lamborghini Miura S for £260,000, the 1949 Bentley Mk VI Countryman Radford Shooting Brake Woody that made £73,480 and the barn discovery original 1933 Fiat 508 S Mille Miglia that sold to an English collector for £62,280.

The matching number original body 1936 Bentley 4 1/4-Litre Drophead Coupe by Park Ward made £100,000, a 1938 Paris Motor Show Bentley 4 1/4-Litre Fixed-Head Coupe by de Villars sold for £80,200, the 1922 Talbot-Darracq Open Tourer offered by Coys directly from the estate of Bill Boddy went home for £18,880, while a 1934 Riley Imp, reported to be one of the finest Imps offered to the market in recent times, brought £85,240.
