The Mecum Monterey Daytime Auctions 2014 will be held August 14-16 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa in Monterey, California. A strong and diverse selection of more than 700 vehicles are expected to cross the auction block during the three-day event.

The 6th annual Mecum Monterey sale will be headlined by the 1954 Ferrari 375 MM Spider; 1961 Ferrari 250 Series II Cabriolet; 1972 McLaren M20 Can-Am; 1930 Duesenberg Model J Torpedo Berline Convertible; 1968 Shelby Turbine Indy Car; 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Tanker Race Car; among others that include an extensive selection of Porsche and Mercedes-Benz models.

This year’s Mecum Monterey Daytime Auction will also bring more than 50 Porsches of both the racing and street-legal kind, for a variety certain to please even the most discerning Porsche enthusiast.

In 2013, Mecum offered 735 cars, with 376 finding new owners, reflecting a 51.2% sales rate. The total sales volume was $35,529,450 and the average price per car sold was $94,493. Top sale went to the 1955 Porsche 550 RS Spyder at $3,750,000, followed by the 1961 Chevrolet Corvette Gulf Race Car at $1,400,000 and 1990 Ferrari F40 Coupe at $1,325,000. Auction gates will open daily at 8 a.m. and general admission will be available at the gate for $20 per person, per day; children 12 and younger will receive complimentary admission.
