On Saturday morning, the Under Two Liter Touring Cars race was dominated by the competition between the BMW 1800 TiSA of Jackie Oliver and Richard Shaw and the Ford Lotus Cortina piloted by Andy Wolfe and Rob Hall.

By the fifth lap, with only half a second between them. Oliver was out in front but Wolfe never let him out of his sight and, despite hitting the dirt a number of times, Woolfe was firmly in the lead by lap ten with a 2.5 second lead with over 30 minutes of racing still to go.

With plenty of overtaking and near-touches, the second drivers in each car after the mandatory pit stop maintained the competition to result in a race win for Andy Wolfe and Rob Hall, second place for Jackie Oliver and Richard Shaw, and third for Leo Voyazides and Simon Hadfield in their Ford Lotus Cortina.
