Audi Nuvolari Spotted!

Progressive design Supercar to be limited to 499 units

The Audi Nuvolari, the brand’s first high-performance hybrid supercar, has made its UK debut in London ahead of its public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week.

Positioned as the most powerful and fastest production model in Audi’s history, the Nuvolari delivers 1,001 PS and a claimed top speed of more than 217 mph (350 km/h). The new flagship combines hybrid performance with a fresh design direction, emphasizing functionality over ornamentation. According to Audi, every element of the car serves a specific purpose, reflecting the brand’s latest approach to design and engineering.

“London is a city known for pushing boundaries of technology, design, and innovation, all traits that are deeply embedded in the Audi Nuvolari,” said Audi UK director, José Miguel Aparicio. “Audi’s record for producing groundbreaking cars stretches back decades, from the engineering prowess of the Ur-quattro to the timeless design of the TT coupe. The Nuvolari represents our next leap forward – a true lighthouse for technological innovation.”

The Design: a new philosophy for a new era

The Nuvolari is the first production Audi to showcase the company’s new design philosophy under Chief Creative Officer Massimo Frascella. Defined by clean surfaces and crisp lines, the design language prioritizes purpose over decoration. That same philosophy extends to the cabin, where the interior has been developed with an uncompromising focus on the driving experience.

The Location: Audi Nuvolari meets London

Audi selected London for the Nuvolari’s UK premiere, citing the city’s reputation as a global center for design, culture, and innovation. Displayed against the contrasting architecture of the City and the luxury districts of Mayfair and Kensington, the supercar’s bold, monolithic styling underscores the relationship between progressive automotive design and one of Europe’s foremost creative capitals.

The Technology: Formula 1 innovations hit the road

The Nuvolari marks Audi’s entry into the high-performance hybrid supercar segment and signals the brand’s ambitions at the top end of the premium performance market. Built around a newly developed Audi Space Frame with a carbon-fiber exterior, the Nuvolari combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three axial-flux electric motors to produce a combined output of 1,001 PS. Audi claims the supercar accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 217 mph. The model also debuts Quattro Predictive Ride, the next evolution of Audi’s renowned quattro technology. By continuously analyzing sensor data, the system anticipates driving conditions to optimize vehicle dynamics through integrated, predictive control.

Motorsport technology plays a central role throughout the Nuvolari. Carbon-fiber construction, lightweight engineering, and active aerodynamics featuring a Drag Reduction System (DRS) have all been adapted from Formula 1. The high-end Audi ceramic pro braking system also incorporates long-fiber construction designed to withstand extreme temperatures, bringing additional Formula 1-inspired technology to a production vehicle.

The Name: A tribute to a fearless racer

Audi named its new high-performance hybrid supercar after Tazio Nuvolari, one of motorsport’s most celebrated drivers. Widely regarded as one of the greatest racers of his era, the Italian became known for his fearlessness, ingenuity, and relentless determination to win—qualities Audi says are reflected in the character of its new flagship performance model.
