A one of a kind Maserati concept car by Giorgetto Giugiaro, called the Boomerang, sold for €3,289,500 during the Bonhams auction at France’s Chantilly Concours last weekend. Considered by some to be the signature concept car of the 1970s, the decidedly angular mid-engined two-seater represents the crisp Italian styling of the decade and as such spurred spirited bidding both on the auction floor and by telephone.
