Extreme Sports?

I was surprised to read in the March issue of this magazine a letter from Bob Krueger on “train racing,” which sounds irresponsible and dangerous. How do I join? I’d like to be a brake man; it seems to offer more opportunity for low cunning.

I used to live close to a quarter-mile hard oval. It was not my scene, but I was there when six double-decker buses raced. Where else would I be?
