In 2008, the Formula Vee will celebrate its 45th anniversary and, as such, a special race weekend is being planned. The Vintage Driver’s Club of America (VDCA) and the SCCA’s Buccaneer Region are organizing a special 3-day race weekend exclusively for Formula Vees and selected Volkswagen-powered racecars. The event, to be held April 4–6, 2008, at Georgia’s Roebling Road circuit will be held exclusively for VW-based formula cars and sports racers. No other makes will be running.
The event will be open to MonopostoRacing (MR) compliant vintage FVs, other vintage FVs, current SCCA FVs, FST, Super Vee (air and water cooled), and VW-powered sports racers. Organizers promise many heat races with lots of track time.
