Returning to the AACA Museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania, this annual event will present an evening of cars and fundraising at its finest, kick starting this year’s eagerly awaited AACA Eastern Division Hershey Meet. A featured highlight of the event will be a charity auction of exclusive automotive experiences like the BMW Performance Driving School or dinner with Jeff Mahle a Great Race expert. Other unique hobbyist items such as a personally signed pedal car by Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and original artwork by Dan Reed and Ken Eberts will all benefit the AACA Club, Library and Museum.

“The AACA’s Hershey Meet is a fall tradition for motoring enthusiasts across the continent – we are delighted to be participating in the activities again this year with our annual Vintage Motor Cars of Hershey auction, as well as be the presenting sponsor of the Night at the Museum event,” said Rob Myers, Chairman and Founder of RM Auctions.

“The RM team shares the AACA’s commitment and dedication to both celebrating and preserving automotive history. The Night at the Museum is not only a wonderful celebration of the hobby and a fun way to kick off the Hershey Meet, but provides a great opportunity to support the work of the AACA and their mission to further the interest in and preserve the collector car hobby for the enjoyment of future generations,” he added.

This year’s event will again be built around the museum’s outstanding range of automotive exhibitions – one presenting a chronological history of automobiles over the past nine decades. Special exhibits will include “The Sports Car in America” featuring 28 fantastic two-seaters and “Fast from the Past: Competition Motorcycles of Yesteryear” featuring more than 45 rare vintage competition bikes. Also on special loan during this time will be the 1911 Oldsmobile Limited 7-Passenger Touring, the only completely unrestored and original example of the mighty Oldsmobile Limited in existence, and the legendary 1953 Cadillac Le Mans #3 General Motors Dream car, one of just four produced and only two surviving examples.

The evening will also incorporate a special keynote presentation by featured guest speaker, David E. Davis, Jr. A world renowned automotive journalist, Davis is a member of the International Motor Press Association and recipient of four Lifetime Achievement Awards in Automotive Journalism. In addition, he was named ‘Dean of American Automotive Writers’, by Time Magazine and ‘One of the Three Hottest Editors in the US’ by AdWeek.

The auction component of the evening will incorporate both a silent and live auction with all proceeds supporting the AACA family. Unlike traditional auctions which largely focus on keep-sake memorabilia, the live auction will focus on a range of unique ‘money can’t buy experiences’, specially assembled by AACA and RM Auctions with the ultimate car enthusiast in mind.

Night at the Museum Charity Auction Highlights include:

– Be the Cover Story of Car Collector magazine! – Car Collector and Publisher Jeff Broadus
has graciously donated an opportunity for a front cover photo and accompanying article in a future edition of their magazine.

Performance Driving School in South Carolina, including two nights accommodation at the Marriott Hotel, a tour of the BMW Museum and factory, and the loan of new BMW X5 or X6 to enjoy during the visit!

The annual AACA Hershey Fall Meet, held in the club’s hometown of historic Hershey, Pennsylvania, is one of the largest and oldest antique automobile shows and flea markets in America, making its debut in 1955.
