The Historic Formula Super Vee Register is calling for all air-cooled and water-cooled Super Vees and Super Vee Alumni to gather at Watkins Glen June 1-3, 2001 for the 30th Anniversary of Pro Super Vee Racing. The event, held in conjunction with the Historic Sportscar Racing “Watkins Glen Historic Races,” will honor both the founding fathers of Super Vee and the American designed and constructed cars. A Super Vee-only race will be a part of the event, as well as a Saturday evening banquet dinner. A group photo is planned, along with a dedicated Super Vee Paddock and display area for nonrunning cars.
With almost 20 years of exciting competition history, Super Vee was the premier training ground of the ’70s and ’80s for many of today’s top drivers, mechanics, designers and car owners. This event will be an opportunity for many of those involved with the series to see familiar old faces and swap stories about the glory days of Super Vee.
