To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Shelby Mustang GT350 the third annual Carroll Shelby Tribute and Car Show intends to host the largest Shelby GT350 gathering in history on Saturday, May 16 at the corporate headquarters in Gardena, California.
“The first Shelby GT350 made history when it was launched in 1965,” noted Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American, “and 50 years later we hope to do so again with a salute to this iconic car. With the help of Team Shelby, LA SAAC, Mustang Club of America and others, this should be one of the most exciting gatherings of Shelby cars this year.”
The event will feature a panel of noted GT350 experts, and displays from the new Carroll Shelby Automotive Museum. A portion of Shelby’s personal car collection will be opened to the public and the company store is creating new products for the event. For complete information please visit www.cscf.org/
I lived in Dallas 1955-1961. During that time frame I worked for a time at Carrol Shelby Sports Cars and had a littel contact with Shelby and the business owner Jim Hall. A time well remembered.
