Close by the heart of Northern California’s wine country, and with tons of elevation changes to thrill and challenge a driver, how could Sears Point Raceway not be one of the best tracks in North America? OK, I know it’s now called Infineon Raceway, but I ran my very first race there, won my very first race there, and started my instructing career there. For me it will always be Sears Point!
Any racetrack that can make a claim to being one of the best, must, almost by definition, have more than one difficult and challenging corner to deal with. And of course, Sears Point does. The Carousel. The Esses. Turn 11. And the corner I want to talk about, Turn 3a.
