The inaugural New York City Concours (TNYCC) is touted to be the world’s first rooftop concours and a world-class, groundbreaking cultural event that celebrates the automobile and its convergence with art, music, fashion, and pop culture. The traditional “classic car show” historically caters to the ultra affluent. TNYCC is updating the concours model to make it more approachable to a new tribe of car enthusiasts and will exude the energy, pulse and passion that is New York City. The city has the most registered cars in the country, yet the car culture is under-served mainly due to cost and lack of space. In its inaugural year, TNYCC features an outdoor gallery of beautiful, historic automobiles displayed on the hottest new venue — The Rooftop at Pier 17 which hosts iconic views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline. The curated collection of cars showcase the best of art and design and are matched with high-end sneaker exhibit by Stadium Goods which complement the style of the cars. Never before have these two collector groups shared a stage!
The event will also feature a collector car forum from Hagerty, live music from local band The Borough Boys, a “Zaddy fashion-mob” by Castangia, display & auction from artist Simon Ward, the Hublot VIP Lounge and displays by Gliptone and Horseless Carriage.
Attendees will have the tough job of deciding which of the 30 amazing cars will win the People’s Choice Best in Show Award. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to The Madison Square Boys & Girls Club.
