The Stirling Moss Trophy is one of the longest standing Motor Racing Legends series and always a favorite at the historic racing festivals at which it appears. At the ‘sharp end’, many of the best-known names in historic motorsport can be found, wringing the best out of these fearsome machines in a masterful display of racecar control. Sports cars of all capacities are welcomed from the golden era of late 1950s.
The Stirling Moss Trophy will make an appearance at all five Motor Racing Legends events this season. Running together with the Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy, Motor Racing Legends offers an unmissable opportunity to race your ’50s sports car in enviable company and in a well-supported, competitive grid.
The forthcoming season is in the main based in the UK save for the annual pilgrimage to Spa-Francorchamps, in Belgium, for the unmissable Spa Six Hours meeting.
The 2021 schedule is:
May 01 – 02 Donington Historic Festival 60 min race
June 12 – 13 Thruxton Historic 60 min race
July 30 – August 01 The Classic, Silverstone 50 min race
October 01 – 3 Spa Six Hours, Belgium 61 min race
October 30 – 31 Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit 60 min race
Races are open to one or two drivers and all feature a mandatory pit stop. Eligible racecar’s include two-seater sports cars built before 1961, complying with Series Regulations and possessing a current FIA HTP. Seven classes are contested, recognizing the various capacities of the participating cars and also separating drum- and disc-braked cars; while all cars must run on Dunlop Historic tires.
