Concours in the Hills 2015 – Report and Results

2015 Concours in the Hills

The second annual Concours in the Hills, held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Fountain Park in Fountain Hills, Arizona, grew from 220 exhibitors in 2014 to over 440 exhibitors at this year’s event. The amount raised for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale rose from $25,500 at last year’s show to over $60,000 in 2015.

Peter Volny, event founder and organizer said, “We had four lone sponsors in 2014, and that number grew to 46 in 2015. Spectator attendance was estimated at about 10,000 over the day. No doubt the combination of the spectacular setting and a beautiful sunny day helped.”

The Concours in the Hills Collector Car Auto Show 2015 was officially opened By Bob Bondurant, one of America’s most successful race car drivers and an Arizona resident, together with the Mayor of Fountain Hills, Linda Kavanagh. At the start of the show they announced, “Gentlemen and Ladies, start your engines!” 440 cars fired up their engines simultaneously to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience.

The range of cars displayed included classic pre-war, American muscle cars, modern supercars and almost every brand of European sports cars. Participating car clubs included Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Jaguar, Corvette, Viper, Lotus, Ford GT, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and others.

The third annual Concours in the Hills will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Fountain Park in Fountain Hills, Arizona from 10:00am – 2:00pm. For more information, visit Concoursinthehills.org.
