2009 Mille Miglia Early Registration

The Mille Miglia returns to the roads of Italy on May 13-17, 2009 – a thousand miles of driving excitement with the famous cars that have written the story of the greatest road race in the world.

The city of Brescia is, as always, the backdrop of the Starting and the Finish Line for the race that will cross some of the most beautiful towns of Italy. The fascination of Rome will pay tribute to the competitors at the end of the second leg of the race, only to see them leave once more, early the next morning, heading for Brescia.

Entry registration for the Mille Miglia 2009 closes on Saturday, December 20th, 2008 on www.1000miglia.eu. Upon entering the site, the forms can be found by first clicking on registration and then on web-site registration. The form must be filled in correctly in order to be properly processed.

With proper respect for the spirit of the Mille Miglia, for its traditions, and for its history, the organizers have established the following rules regarding the cars which are eligible to take part in the Mille Miglia 2009.

Summary: For cars in categories VU, T and GT, no mechanical or bodywork changes will be permitted if documentation is not made available to prove that these changes were made at the time of the entry or participation of the specific car and chassis number in the original Mille Miglia.

The list does not include most of those Italian and French one-off specials which competed in the Mille Miglia at the time. Any listing of these would be imprecise as to the cars specifications and characteristics and would therefore be incomplete and arbitrary. Applicants submitting these cars for acceptance must provide complete documentation, proving the participation of the car or its entry in one of the 24 original Mille Miglia races. Similar documentation must be provided by applicants for all other models not included in the list.

The entry fee, set at 5,775.00 Euros, must be sent by non-transferable certified check, made out to MAC Events srl, and sent by registered air mail or by courier to MAC Events srl – Mille Miglia, Corso Torino 1/7 16129 GENOA, ITALY. If the car is not accepted, the entry fees will be returned to you, by February 28, 2009.
