Dueling Concours in Texas

Until this year, there was only one concours in the Houston, Texas, area on the first weekend in May. This year, the Concours d’Elegance of Texas at La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa near Montgomery, Texas, joined Keels and Wheels at the Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook, Texas, and competed for entries.

Keels and Wheels is still the big dog of concours in the area, but its competition has potential.  There were more celebrities and significant cars, not to mention incredible boats and total number of entries, at Keels and Wheels. The Concours of Texas, though, had some very interesting cars, was at an equally nice location, and has attracted Worldwide Auctioneers annual Houston area auction away from Keels and Wheels.
