It seems strange to me that I’ve become an Alfa enthusiast, as I apparently have come to the party relatively late in my automotive life.
As a kid, I was certainly crazy for Italian cars, Ferraris in particular, of course. They were fast and loud, low slung, sleek and sexy. By comparison, Alfas to my immature eyes seemed…well…kind of commonplace. I can remember looking at the Giulietta and scratching my head as to why it seemed to have such a high ride height! This was an Italian car after all, wasn’t it supposed to be low and sleek? In those days, Giuliettas were virtually commonplace in Southern California. I saw them seemingly everywhere—nice ones, shabby ones, daily drivers, you name it.
