Mecum Auctions’ inaugural Las Vegas collector car auction last weekend, November 16-18, posted total sales of $22m as 557 vehicles changed hands. Leading the results was a Fathom Blue 1968 Yenko Chevrolet Camaro from the Les Quam Collection (above, David Newhart photo courtesy of Mecum Auctions) that sold for $600,000, with the second-highest seller being another Yenko Camaro, this one a Matador Red RS/SS model, one of just 11 built, that hammered for $450,000.
A trio of Fords filled out the top five sales, with a 514-mile 2006 Ford GT bringing in $290,00 in 3rd, and a pair of 1969 Mustang Boss 429 Fastbacks each going for $200,000. The Top 10 sellers are listed below, and for further information please visit www.Mecum.com
