Hand carved from mahogany, the Ford GT-40 shown above measures 13 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 3 inches tall, and has nearly 760 hours of time invested in it, from preliminary research to final sanding of the finished project. Similar statistics apply to the Porsche 917 as well. All these projects begin with the gathering of photos from all angles and of all detailed areas of the model of car to be produced. From there the individual components are painstakingly carved and shaped until the final product as seen here emerges.
