When you sit down and tot up the number of publicly available variations on the theme of Alfa Romeo Giulietta, it is not only astonishing to consider that you could have bought no less than eight totally different models carrying that name but, after looking at photos of the Alfa Romeo factory in 1946, it is a surprise that you could buy one at all.
Once the Axis occupiers had exited Italy, it could easily be seen that a seriously war-torn, ravaged landscape was left behind them. The Allies had concentrated their bombing raids on the industrial centers of northern Italy to hasten the retreat, which was successful, but in turn left a huge scar across cities such as Turin and Milan, the homes of Fiat and Alfa Romeo.
