A true membership driving experience has begun at Sebring International Raceway with the Sebring Driving Club.
A low-traffic driving experience for all skill levels, coupled with a hospitality component aimed at providing members the opportunity to socialize and relax in a professional driving atmosphere, the Sebring Driving Club provides members who own race cars and track-worthy street cars bi-monthly track time at one of the world’s most legendary racing circuits.
Former Rolex 24 At Daytona winner and multi-time IMSA-winning driver, Shane Lewis, serves as driver development director of the Sebring Driving Club, and offers expert coaching and guidance to all members. Lewis and the Club’s managing director, Paul Jones, have operated successful driving clubs for many years, including the former Palm Beach Driving Club.
“The Sebring Driving Club provides frequent full-day sessions for its members to enjoy the legendary Sebring International Raceway, and to improve their driving skills at this iconic facility,” Jones said. “Many of the members of the former Palm Beach Driving Club have now joined us in Sebring, and by being centrally located on a high-profile track, we’re adding members from both the east and west coasts of Florida.”
Membership in the club includes discounted rates at the on-site Seven Sebring Raceway Hotel, air conditioned members lounge, video and data analysis, advanced driver technique training, on-site storage opportunities and professional guest instructors and speakers.
Sebring International Raceway is one of the world’s busiest racing facilities, with nearly 300 days of on-track activity. The Sebring Driving Club will be on track 20 days between now and June, weather permitting, with most of those days coming on Wednesdays, including many in the first three months of the year when Sebring is at its busiest.
Sebring is best known as the home of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, and on March 18 will celebrate the 71st running of the great event. Other races that take place at Sebring include the FIA WEC 1000 Miles of Sebring (March 17); the Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 (March 16); two Porsche Carrera Cup races (March 16); two Porsche Sprint Challenge races; two Historic SportsCar (HSR) weekends, SVRA Trans Am weekend; SRO GT World Challenge weekend; World Racing League (WRL) weekend and more.
