The results for Russo and Steele’s 2014 Monterey sale were a 63% increase over last year’s results, with the average sale price of $115,000 representing an increase of 45%. The top result at this year’s auction went to the 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupe that sold for $1,320,000, followed by the 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster at $1,210,000 and the 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Coupe that brought $731,500.
