The Royal Automobile Club, in partnership with the Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation, is to re-create the 1000 Mile Trial, which was first run in 1900.
At a press briefing at the Royal Automobile Club, HERO announced that it had come to an agreement with the Club to re-run, in July 2014, the first-ever British endurance and reliability trial. Classic car enthusiasts owning pre-war and veteran cars will have the opportunity to follow the original trial route, where possible, in a six-day challenge from the Woodcote Park clubhouse, near Epsom, to Edinburgh and back again.
