With the holiday season hard upon us once again, we thought it would be a good idea to take a look at a site that might possibly help you find the ideal gift for that friend who always proves most difficult to buy for.
The main site here, SweetPosters.com, boasts some 300,000 offerings from more than two dozen categories, but the area we are probably most interested in is, of course, vintage auto racing. Happily there is a vast selection of historic posters and prints that can be purchased unframed, framed, or mounted. When mounted, the artwork is permanently bonded to a hardboard backing, and its surface is treated for protection from moisture, dust, fingerprints, and ultra-violet light among other specified perils, with the mount braced from behind to lift the poster away from the wall for a much more striking presentation.
