The Porsche Rennsport Reunion V was held September 24-27, 2015 at the 11-turn, 2.238-mile Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, California. A record 57,531 enthusiasts experienced an event like no other. Over 50 legendary Porsche drivers and engineers came together with more than 75 Le Mans specific and significant models to celebrate ‘Porsche at Le Mans’ and the most recent 17th overall victory this past June.
With 100 Porsche Concours race cars, 320 race cars competing in seven race groups on the track, 1,400 Porsche street cars in 20 different corrals, the senses were easily overwhelmed.Modern Porsche factory werks drivers like Patrick Long, Jörg Bergmeister, Wolf Henzler and Mark Webber mingled with legendary drivers such as Co-Grand Marshals Jacky Ickx and Hurley Haywood, plus Derek Bell, Vic Elford and Hans Herrmann for three days of multiple autograph sessions, on-stage interviews and various meet-and-greets around the Porsche Park in the Paddock.
The Ingram Collection, Brumos Racing, Revs Institute, Gunnar Racing, Canepa Design and others joined thousands of Porsche Club members in bringing their cars to display and race. Celebrating their 60th year, the Porsche Club of America had amongst their 1,400-car corral a special display vehicle for each year since 1955.
In addition to Dennis Gray’s on-track photos and a ‘Behind the Scenes’ gallery from Trevor Ely, Sports Car Digest also offers the following selection of images from the 2015 Rennsport Reunion. We split up pictures from the event into two galleries. The first gallery starting below features our favorite images, all displayed in the full-width view, while the full gallery can be found on the last page of the article and gives a comprehensive view of all photos.

These are just great! Thanks for sharing them with all of us!

Beautiful machinery! How I wish I could have been there. Damn it! Tom Comeau 93′ RSA.
Thank’s a lot for these pictures, each car is a story….
Every week your photos are my most anticipated email. But, as a former 356 owner and competitor, this week’s was something special. I also saw many cars that participated in races I worked at Daytona and Sebring, along with a couple of Can Am’s up at Road Atlanta. Thank you for your continuing, beautiful photography. Maybe I will run across one of you at the Greenwood Reunion or the Classic 24 event at Daytona. I will see how my photography compares with yours, although I know that yours will be light years better. Again, thank you for your artistic slant on motorsports photography.
