Porsche will be a featured marque at the 2013 Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance, scheduled for May 3-5 at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. In addition, Porsche has signed on as a sponsor of the inaugural event.
“The Porsche sponsorship is a welcome development which adds an exciting new dimension to the Pinehurst Concours,” said Bob Ingram, Pinehurst Concours Honorary Chairman and noted Porsche collector.
“We are pleased to be a sponsor of the inaugural Pinehurst Concours,” said David Kurtz, Vice President, Area South, Porsche Cars North America. “This event provides us with an ideal environment to celebrate our heritage and to allow participants and attendees the opportunity to experience our current products at the same time.”
Kurtz said the Pinehurst Concours is also another occasion to help honor the 50-year anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911. In addition to the judged Porsche show class, the latest models from the German marque will be on site to see and drive.
A show field of 118 vintage automobiles will be staged on the fairways of Pinehurst Resort on Sunday, May 5th — a number to honor the 1895 founding of the historic North Carolina resort. The weekend also includes the Iron Mike Rally to nearby Fort Bragg on Friday, May 3rd and the RKM Collector Car Auctions event on Saturday, May 4th at the Fair Barn adjacent to the resort.
General admission tickets are now on sale for the introductory price of $40, along with VIP packages. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.pinehurstconcours.com or call 910-973-6594.
