This year’s second annual Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance has been scheduled for the Saturday of Fathers Day weekend, June 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum, 6825 Norwitch Dr, Philadelphia. The Concours will showcase an invitation-only assembly of 35 American and European classic and historic automobiles and racecars, and the day-long, fundraising event will also benefit from professional judging, with awards presented for historical accuracy, technical merit and style.
The classic car competition and exhibition benefits the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), providing help and hope to children with rare birth disorders and their families, and to support research that will identify the best possible treatments. Among the event’s celebrity guests will be Super Bowl-winning Coach Dick Vermeil, and a Car Corral will be set up behind the Simeone Museum for local car enthusiasts. The Museum itself will also be open.
Admission is $25 for adults, with students and children under 18 allowed in for free. For tickets and further information, please visit www.coolcarsforkids.org
