• Goodwood has announced provisional dates for its 2016 Festival of Speed and Revival meetings, planning to stage the former on June 23-26, and the latter on September 9-11. Tickets for the two events went on sale Thursday November 5. Goodwood had previously announced the dates for its 74th annual Members’ Meeting (right) as March 19-20, 2016, with tickets already on sale at www.goodwood.com/tickets
• David Hobbs was honored with the “Spirit of Competition” award from the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum at the organization’s annual November fundraiser at the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia. Hobbs, who won the SCCA Formula 5000 championship in 1971 and the Trans-Am championship in 1983, enjoyed a 30-year cockpit career driving virtually everything before turning his talents toward the broadcast booth where he’s become a household name due to his colorful commentary on F1 broadcasts for multiple networks.
