Mecum Kansas City Spring 2013 – Auction Results

1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible
1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible sold for $112,500

The spring edition of the Mecum Kansas City 2013 auction was held April 25-27 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Missouri, resulting in $9.6 million in total sales and a 61% sell-through rate.
With a total of 446 vehicles selling over the three-day auction, the top result went to a Ahrens-Fox BT piston pumper fire truck that hammered at $125,000. The fully restored Mount Vernon, N.Y. truck may be the finest example remaining of the small group of only nine that were manufactured. The Ahrens-Fox was followed by a 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible, subject of a frame-off restoration and featuring a continental kit and a 348 CI Turbo-Thrust V-8, that sold for $112,500.
