The Mecum Denver 2016 auction was staged July 8-9 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, resulting in more than $11 million in total sales and a 66 percent sell-through rate. A total of 402 classic and collector cars sold at Mecum Auctions’ second annual Denver-area event.

The top result at the Mecum Denver 2016 sale went to an R-Code, 427-engined 1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL (Lot S37) that sold for $155,000. Further notable results included a selection of Corvettes, such as the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window (Lot S128) that brought $140,000, the 1967 Chevrolet Corvette 427/400 HP Convertible (Lot S110) that hammered for $125,000 and the 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe (Lot S102) that made $115,000.
