Martin Ogilvie is a rare example of someone who knew all along what he wanted to be when he grew up, and who managed to make his mark in the upper echelons of motor sports with a single organization over a dozen years. That vocation was racing car designer, and the team was Lotus, where he worked under the watchful eye of marque founder Colin Chapman. Mike Jiggle recently sat down with his fellow Englishman to discuss his career, and life, in the sport.
When you left Birmingham University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, was your move in the direction of motor sport, or motoring, a pre-planned move?
