Lime Rock Park general manager Garrett Mudd has announced that Historic Sportscar Racing, Ltd. (HSR) will now share sanctioning duties for the Lime Rock Vintage Festival with the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA). Mudd emphasized that, contrary to rumors, VSCCA is not being “removed” from the annual Labor Day event. According to Mudd, Lime Rock would like the Fall Festival to be more representative of all the racecars which have made history at the Connecticut track, thus the inclusion of HSR.
Under the new arrangement, the VSCCA will run three groups for early cars under their exisiting rules, while HSR will run the remaining groups under their rules.
