Jaguar has announced a new partnership with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association to introduce its new high-performance models to the enthusiast audience that will include sponsorship of seven SVRA events throughout the USA. The included events are: the Sonoma Historics at California’s Sonoma Raceway on May 28-31; the Brickyard Invitational at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on June 10-14; the Portland Vintage Racing festival at Portland International Raceway on July 9-12; the U.S. Vintage Grand prix at Watkins Glen in New York on July 23-26; the Coronado Speed Festival in San Diego on September 18-10; Mardi Gras on October at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans on October 8-11; and the Vintage Racing National Championships at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on November 4-8.
At each of these events Jaguar will offer consumers the opportunity to test the dynamic performance of the newest additions to the Jaguar line-up, such as the 550-hp Jaguar F-Type R AWD, with activities including runs on an autocross track specially designed by the Jaguar Performance driving team.
“Exciting Performance is at the foundation of the Jaguar DNA, beginning with our rich history in racing right up to our newest models,” said Kim McCullough, Vice President, Marketing, Jaguar Land Rover North America. “With this partnership we have the opportunity to introduce the modern Jaguar lineup to today’s most passionate automotive enthusiasts. We can’t wait for them to drive our new cars, especially the 2016 F-Type.”
