Goodwood Track Days – Masters Racing Series

The Masters Racing Series traditionally starts the season with two track days at Goodwood, and in 2009 they will continue that tradition plus a whole lot more.

While the track days will continue on the Friday, February 27th and Saturday, February 28th, Masters Racing will also spotlight their series and suppliers, among many other happenings.

The legendary circuit of Goodwood will play host to your pre-66 race-car, silenced to 105dba, on Friday, February 27th, or Saturday, February 28th in either of the two Masters track days.

All cars that “might just possibly be eligible” for the 2009 versions of the Revival races known as the TT Celebration, the Lavant Cup, the Fordwater Trophy, St Mary’s Trophy – or even, if you can silence your car properly – the Whitsun Trophy and the Sussex Trophy.

In Masters and Top Hat terms, that’s cars from the grids known as Gentleman Drivers, Cloth Cap, Top Hat Pre-66 Saloons, even SRM – and Oldies but Goldies.

Masters Goodwood 2009 will be much more than just two track days. Instead of attending the early shows & exhibitions this year, Masters are going to bring the whole show to Goodwood, and make this weekend their own.

  • Suppliers will be out in force, so that you can stock up with all you need for the season – tires, fuels, oils, race wear, race car parts, clothing, etc.
  • The Masters Hospitality Unit will be there, serving warm soups and coffees, providing somewhere to sit and meet up with old friends.
  • Race Preparers and Restorers will have paddock displays of their latest projects and be there in person to answer questions about everything from transport in the summer to restoration.
  • Classic and historic car dealers will be on display, led by Masters’ partners Speedmaster and Coys, so you can browse through further new car options for your 2009 season.
  • Get your car inspected for its new FIA papers. Senior UK MSA-approved HTP inspectors will be present on both days – book up in advance to have your car inspected.
  • Get your yearly medical done for your MSA licence with Dr Mark Green, who will be at Goodwood to undertake the arduous task of assessing your health – the MSA driver’s medical. Book in advance to guarantee a slot.
