“Addicted to Winning—the Unbeatable Champions of Motor Sport” has been announced as the theme for the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, set for June 26-29. The popular Festival will honor the men and marques that dominated the sport on two and four wheels during their respective eras.
In addition to those champions, the Festival will celebrate the centennial of Maserati with gatherings of both Maserati racecars on the hill and significant Maserati road cars in a special class at the Cartier Style et Luxe concours d’elegance. Other special anniversaries to be observed at the Festival include: 100 years since the fabled 1914 French Grand Prix that produced a commanding 1-2-3 sweep for Mercedes; 60 years of the Jaguar D-Type; the 50th anniversary of the first Monte Carlo Rallye victory for the Mini Cooper S; and the 40th anniversary of McLaren’s first World Championship.
