This is Rolf Stommelen at the Loew’s Hairpin during the Monaco Grand Prix on May 14,1972. He’s driving the Eifelland, which was in reality a somewhat modified March 721. Stommelen qualified last of the allowed 25 starters, and was even then fortunate to make the field because the Tecnos failed to arrive. Nevertheless, he finished 10th, three laps down to winner Jean-Pierre Beltoise’s BRM.
