The Cars and Coffee at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours was held Saturday, March 9th on Amelia Island, Florida. The inaugural event was staged on the 18th fairway of the Golf Club at the Ritz-Carlton, the same show field for the famed Concours.
As expected from an event put together by Bill Warner, this was no ordinary Cars and Coffee. The wide range of cars on display included an AMC Pacer, a Delage bodied by LeTourneur and Marchand, the last production 1966 Shelby GT350, an Allard K-2 sporting Colorado Grand stickers, a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster, an Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior, Zagato Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale, a Jaguar XK150S, plus a strong showing from the local Porsche, Viper and Corvette clubs.
The crowds were strong, even before the official 9:00am start time. Famed Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni was found mingling with enthusiasts nearby the Miura Roadster and Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster. With such a strong start, expect to see the Cars and Coffee becoming a mainstay of the Amelia Island Concours weekend in the years to come.

It was a lovely day in the neighborhood. 🙂
Thank you for taking the beautiful pictures and mentioning my 1970 Alfa Romeo Gt Junior 1300 in your article. The pictures look great. This was a great show and I was happy to be a part of it. I have owned my Alfa for just over a year purchased in Catania Sicily and personally brought to the U.S. This past Nov but not before driving the historic Targa Florio road course. I am an Alfisti through and through.
It was our pleasure! We had a hard time leaving it to go see the other cars.
Thats great, I am glad that you enjoyed it. Did I get to talk to you about it while you were out there?
