Three-time Indy winner Bobby Unser will serve as honorary chairman of the 9th annual Amelia Island Concours to be held March 14, 2004, on the grounds of The Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island, Florida.
Unser will serve as grand marshal in the vintage-car procession departing from the Ritz driveway on Friday morning and as keynote speaker at the Saturday night black-tie dinner. He will enter Sunday’s show field at approximately 9:30 a.m. in one of his Indy cars and will be available to meet fans throughout the day until the show ends at 5:00 p.m.
According to Amelia Island Concours Founder/Chairman Bill Warner, “There’s nothing stand offish about Bobby. He’s very approachable and loves chatting with the fans, but he especially enjoys talking with the children. If you’ve always wanted to bring the family to the Amelia Island Concours, then 2004—the Year of Bobby Unser—is the time to come.”
