The Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction 2013 was held September 26-28 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in more than $32 million in total sales. This year’s results represent a 41% increase from the 2012 event.
Nearly 70,000 were in attendance at the 6th annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction, the largest Barrett-Jackson auction outside of its Scottsdale event with a record-breaking 657 consignments.This year’s sale celebrated American cars such as Lincolns, Shelbys and Corvettes including Rick Hendrick’s pair of 1963 Chevrolet Corvettes that sold well (Lot #716 – $106,400 and Lot #716.1 – $110,00), the 1931 Lincoln Model K Convertible that brought $352,000 and the 1967 Shelby GT500E at $242,000. Yet, the top result at the 2013 Las Vegas sale went to an Italian marque – the 1967 Ferrari 330GTC that sold for $495,000.
Also adding to the celebration was Lot #689 1999 Chevrolet Suburban from “The Sopranos” Seasons 1-4 that brought $110,000. Barrett-Jackson will also be offering the late James Gandolfini’s personal 1972 Oldsmobile 442 convertible at the Scottsdale event January 12-19, 2014.
