A selection of American muscle cars will highlight of this year’s 10-day Mecum Kissimmee Auction, scheduled to commence on January 6 and close on January 15 in Kissimmee, Florida. Camaros, Mustangs, Plymouth Superbirds, Dodge Hemi Challengers and the last Buick GNX ever built will feature, but among the other machines that fit the profile are a 427-cid/435-hp 1967 Corvette Convertible — the only known example painted Tuxedo Black with Bright Blue highlights and interior — and an unrestored 1971 Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T coupe with a 426-cid/425-hp hemispherical combustion chamber V8, this one from the Tom Lembeck Collection.
Beyond the more than 3,000 vehicles Mecum Auctions will be offering at the sale, thousands of “Road Art” items, memorabilia, petroliana, and rare engines and parts will also be on offer, with Monday, January 9, reserved exclusively for these items.
