The MGA should have happened several years before it did. The story of why it didn’t and how it came to be is one of the goals of this profile. Another goal is to introduce you to two very nice examples of the MGA line. It’s your choice which you like best. One thing this profile will not do is recount the early history of the MG marque. That you can find in other articles, including this one – 1955 MG TF—Last of the Square-Riggers. If you are a fan of the MGA, John Price Williams wrote an excellent history of the model – “The MGA: First of a New Line.”
