Northern California’s Classic Sports and Racing Group will be hosting a Formula Vee Gathering during its 2017 Thunderhill Spring race on the three-mile East track, April 28-30. With the event open to all years of FV, Modern Vees will be included and there will be separate scoring for each era of Vees.
The Volkswagen air-cooled single-seaters will be divided into four race groups:
* Group FV: Cars prepared to CSRG FV eligibility– Monoposto Rules, treaded tires, etc.
* Group FV1: Same as FV except fan, generator and shroud are not required, and ducting and slick tires are allowed.
* Group FV2: Same as FV & FV1 except cars through 1978 with rear suspension being free and slick tires allowed.
* Group FV3: 1979 and newer cars that comply with current SCCA GCR, including tires.
