Dear Dennis & Jamie:
Thank you for posting the CSRG Charity Challenge pre-event notice.
Track dates are Saturday and Sunday, October 6-7, 2012. The objective of the CSRG Charity Challenge is to raise money for Speedway Children’s Charity, to exceed the proceeds from last year. Charity Challenge is different from other events held by CSRG. Drivers want the public to experience track excitement of a vintage car. To that end, they donate their cars and time. CSRG’s Charity Challenge raises the most money for charity of all events held at Sonoma Raceway.
“Lunch break” Saturday and Sunday is when drivers can offer “3 hot laps” around the track. Cars are being added daily to the list of charity rides –the lap car, the new McLaren and the McLaren F1 GTR, Mustangs, NASCAR, and a GTO. The cost of a charity rides ranges from $75 to $250. If that sounds like a lot of money, remember it is a charitable donation.

Are any TVR Griffith 400’s scheduled to appear?
