Duncan Rabagliati, chairman of the Formula Junior Historic Racing Association, has announced the inclusion of Formula Junior in the three events announced by Historic Motorsports Productions for 2010. He views this inclusion as “a real catalyst to keep Formula Junior in the United States as the major historic single-seater formula of the ’50s and ’60s.”
Rabagliati is also promoting a further pair of initiatives that he hopes will have a positive impact on FJ racing in the United States. By bringing U.S. Formula Junior regulations into line with the rest of the world, he wants to build on the success of the Golden Jubilee Series of standalone races run in 2008. He also wants to increase the participation by Italian-built, front-engine FJs in U.S. races. Finally, FJ will also have its own race at this year’s Monterey Historics.
