The Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance 2010 presented by Rolex is an annual scenic 60-mile trip around the Monterey Peninsula in association with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Held Thursday, August 12th, the Tour d’Elegance is for vehicles that will participate in the Pebble Beach Concours on Sunday, August 15.
The Tour d’Elegance traces portions of the original 17-Mile Drive, traverses nearby mountains and valleys, dips down famed Highway One to Big Sir, and pauses for lunch in Carmel-by-the-Sea. All Tour participants enjoy a catered gourmet lunch, a champagne celebration at the finish and commemorative gifts.
Initiated to showcase the elegance of the automobile in motion, the Tour d’Elegance underscores the early history of the place that is Pebble Beach. Decades before golf links were laid out along the edge of the Pacific Ocean, this area was known for its scenic drive, winding for miles through pine and cypress forest, dancing alongside dramatic cliffs and leading, ultimately, to a beautiful crescent-shaped bay.
The Tour is open to all entrants in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It is important to note that the Tour d’Elegance and the Concours are directly linked. If two cars tie in class competition at the Concours, the car that has successfully completed the Tour gets the nod.

The grey-blue Bugatti Atlantic appears to be the most recent reconstruction of 57473, the third of the FOUR Atlantics built after the Aerolithe.
The Packard on pg. 6 is not a 1934, but a 1936.
My routine today:
1. Open up a Monterey story and look at 25-50 pictures…in awe.
2. Work for 1 hour so I won’t get fired.
3. Open up a Monterey story and look at even more pictures..
4. Work for only 18 minutes because I want to look at more pictures.
5. Open up another Monterey story and look at pictures.
6. Call my friend to discuss which car we’d choose from Pebble Concours.
7. Fear for the safety of my job!
