Virginia International Raceway and the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association have entered into a joint venture to promote the Heacock Classic Gold Cup Historic Races at the track, with this year’s event scheduled for June 5-7.
“We are excited and honored to have SVRA bring their expertise in vintage sports car racing to the Heacock Classic Gold Cup Historic Races,” said track owners Harvey Siegel and Connie Nyholm. “The Gold Cup has become one of the most significant events on the vintage car calendar each year, and together with SVRA we can continue to grow the event.”
In addition to the racing, the gathering will continue all the established Heacock Classic Gold Cup social rituals, including Thursday’s false-grid welcome party and the Black and White party on Friday night.
