A wide range of opulent Isotta Fraschini automobiles, including the very first and very last cars to wear that badge, will be showcased at next month’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, set for August 20. The luxurious Italian cars will be accommodated with three separate concours classes.
One of the featured cars will be the 1901 prototype, a bare chassis that was presented to Henry Ford during ultimately unsuccessful merger talks, and which resided in The Henry Ford museum for decades before being acquired by confessed Isotta romantic Corrado Lopresto in 2013.
Other featured examples of the marque will include the 1947 and 1948 Isotta Fraschini 8C Monterosas in the Postwar Grand Touring class, along with various Tipo 8As in the Isotta Fraschini Castagna Coachwork Open and Closed Classes.
