This 1970 Targa Florio-winning Porsche 908/03 was piloted by Brian Redman and Jo Siffert, used by the John Wyer-led Porsche works team instead of the factory’s mighty 917 because its light weight and shorter wheelbase were better suited to the intricate demands of the 44-mile Sicilian circuit. For artist Cook, that the car was painted in the classic Gulf livery of orange over pale blue made it even more memorable, especially the two huge orange arrows that he thought looked incredibly cool. He made this piece specifically to get it signed by Redman during an event at Sebring, and the autographed picture is prominently displayed on his office wall.
