The Automobilia Monterey 2012 was held Tuesday, August 14th and Wednesday, August 15th at the Embassy Suites in Seaside, California. Long a mainstay of Monterey Classic Car Week, the 10th annual Automobilia Monterey again demonstrated why it’s considered by many to be the preeminent show in North America for collectors of original, vintage automotive collectibles.
Tony Singer, the driving force behind Automobilia Monterey, also operates Vintage Auto Posters, which offers high quality, authentic and original vintage automotive posters.
Singer commented on the 2012 event, “From the moment the doors opened on Tuesday morning until close on Wednesday evening, there was constant flow of focused enthusiasts finding authentic original automotive collectible treasures. With over 20% new vendors, attendees were treated to fresh stock from more than 45 international dealers.”
“Attendance was up 8.5%, gate receipts up 11.3%, and silent auction proceeds up 24.9%. To date, Automobilia Monterey has contributed over $61,200 to the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center and this year’s contribution was a 15% increase over 2011,” continued Singer.
Only at Automobilia Monterey do you find the finest pre- and post-war memorabilia, the world’s most significant inventory of vintage auto posters; diverse collections of rallye plates; grille badges; hood ornaments; signs; models; vintage books and documents; original art and photography; and much more. If you can imagine it, then odds are you will find it at Automobilia Monterey.
