Unbelievable as it may seem, the Ferrari 250 GTO was designed by Sergio Scaglietti in just over two weeks. Il Commendatore himself, Enzo Ferrari, had a strong degree of personal input in the final design. Because there were no drawings, each car was a unique product of the particular craftsman. Purpose- built for competition, each 250 GTO reflected the personal needs and tastes of each owner.
